MaxTrax Shackle Shield

MAXTRAX Shackle Shields are designed to act as a protective sheath that slides over the MAXTRAX Core and Fuse shackles. They offer extra protection from abrasions and sharp-edged recovery points, prolonging soft shackle life and enhancing safety.

Recovery Points and Recovery points incorporated into bullbars have often 90-degree edges which are not recommended for soft shackle use as can damage rope fibres during recoveries.

MAXTRAX Shackle Shields are compatible with all soft shackle brands on the market and can be fitted to soft shackle ropes with a diameter up to 14mm (not including woven cover sheaths).

The MAXTRAX Shackle Shield removes the need to rely on using metal bow shackles in many vehicle recovery situations, making for a lighter, metal free vehicle recovery solution. MAXTRAX Shakle Shields are Manufactured of a thermoplastic polyurethane and is designed to be flexible and strong to protect the fibres of the soft shackle.

With the unique “U” shaped design the MAXTRAX Shackle Shield is developed to reduce tight radius contraction under load, which protects soft shackle rope fibres and potentially extending the soft shackle lifespan.
