A snorkel is, of course, an accessory that, with its rugged looks, should not be missing from your 4×4. But when you go off-roading and encounter river crossings or deep mud pools, a snorkel actually provides a protective function, as the standard air intake becomes submerged and water can eventually enter the engine, potentially causing severe damage.
To prevent this, the air intake can be raised by installing a BRAVO snorkel. Even if you don’t drive through extremely deep water, a snorkel still offers benefits. The temperature in the engine bay, where the standard intake is located, can rise significantly, causing warm air to be drawn in and reducing engine performance. A snorkel ensures that cool, fresh air is taken in, which improves engine performance.
Further, a snorkel with a forward-facing snorkel head offers an additional advantage at high speeds: the oncoming airflow is forced into the intake under pressure, which benefits the engine’s performance.
